About Me...
My name is Erica Vance, and I will be your child's seventh or eighth grade English and Language Arts teacher. I have spent the last nine years teaching seventh or eighth grade ELA in Cumberland County. I graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a Bachelor's of Science in Secondary English Education. I look forward to helping your child become a better reader, writer, thinker, and speaker. I know that with all parts working together-we will make this a successful year!

Book Challenges
*Each nine weeks you will have a number of books to read for my class.
*Expect a quiz each day in response to your nightly reading.
*Each book will count as an individual grade for the nine weeks.
Students are not bound to this selection of books--the sky is still the limit for the number of books you choose to read and the number of A.R. points you choose to earn! However, be clear that your participation in these required novels will result in
four overall grades for each nine weeks.
